Dear Blowout Saxophonists,
2006 was a great year for some excellent events :the legendary Lou Donaldson at the Jazz Cafe in March, the Brunel 200 event in Bristol and a stonkingly great Blowout Sax School gig on November 24th.
In this year the first date for your diary is SATURDAY MAY 12TH 2007 at THE INVENTIONS RRTS CENTRE, Lower Borough Walls for the 'The approach of Summer Blowout gig.'
We will try to mix as many styles as possible displaying many of the sax's qualities from beautiful, melodic, moody and soulful saxophone tunes with the full-on honking, screaming riot!
We shall try to get as many of you up there as possible and it will be
quite the occasion. Inventions have also promised to continue providing
a fast and efficient bar! Please tell your friends as soon as possible
and let's have another special musical evening. Tickets will be on
sale from April 21st and are the usual 8 pounds.
The Cheltenham Jazz Festival is on from May 1st to the 7th with a wide variety of acts. For bluesy singing and soft jazz there's saxman Curtis Stigers. To check him out go to www.curtisstigers.com he's on May 4th.
Wild and nutty sax Pete Wareham ace tenor sax of Acoustic Ladyland fame is playing with Sebastian Rochford's Fulborn Teversham on Sat 5th May. We hope you will enjoy the makeover The Blowout Sax School is going through and we are aiming to make the environment even groovier than before. However we do have to make changes which will commences after Easter,week beginning April 16th.
All sessions will be 45 minutes because as you know that's enough!
Berry, Rachel, Stan and Craig will then be 28 pounds a session and Mark 30 pounds. This is the first increase since 2004 and we still believe is a very fair price for our services. Also please adhere to our 48 hours cancellation rule because this is what we do for a living and it would be easier if this was just accepted without the awkwardness of having to ask for it.

Also we are looking to have a timetable online which will make booking easier.
